Outstanding BMX parts
kungfunky:
Gen 1 Phil wood hubs were silky smooth easy to maintain and tough.
SE power wings, super comfy and strong.
Vans shoes were grippy on most pedals too

The title of this thread should be read by Brian Sewell...!

Tuff II's were pants Rob. Most of the guys I hung about with had problems with them, hubs crushing, coaster problems, cracking etc etc. Ukai's were the sought after wheels we wanted back then :daumenhoch:
along with Z's for the freestyle 'bend 'em, reshape 'em' thingy :D
pickle:
Not for us, we all wanted tuffs round our way.
They weren't without fault but we all wanted them.
Discostu:
Here is my list.
Potts stem bolt.
Acs boa- the best calliper brake by far.
Ad990- although its fiddley it started off the change to u-brakes as a standard fitment.
Odyssey gyro- the first rotor that actually worked. Now most manufacturers use the same basic principle and cable system.
Peregrine super pros- excellent double walled rims from ukai laced up to sealed suzue hubs. A great wheel set that became the wheels to ride.
Gt mallet stem- certainly the best stem ever made by gt/sr.
Nankai freecoaster- unbelievably smooth hub that paved the way for freecoaster technology.
Tech 77 levers- probably the best levers ever made. And still going strong.
Redline flight cranks- great back in the day. And still great now.
Acs rl edge tyres- boy oh boy would I love to have a set of those bad boys.
Sst command seat post- very strong
Tioga beartrap 2 headset. The best headset for threaded forks.
Aheadset- I remember the first bike I had this set up on and I couldn't believe that an idea as simple as this hadn't really reached the mainstream market.
I'm sure I will think of some more.
