Anyone still use Royal Mail?
holwuff:
Just wondered if anyone has posted a set of 20"wheels with Royal Mail since they hiked up all the prices? And if so how much and what service do you get?
I do try and use couriers when I can but it means taking a day off work so I can be in for
Collection etc.
Cheers

They will send and charge you Parcelforce prices for something that big
GavinDavis:
Jas, just use the myhermes parcel shops bud.....you dont have to wait around for anyone to collect your stuff :daumenhoch:
Obviously sizes are limited with them but you could always get the courier to collect it from your workplace :) ...Thats what i do :daumenhoch:

Jas,
I sold them NOS yellow Tuff's on the bay mate as they were too nice for me to ride and the temptation to ride them was getting extreme :crazy2: so they had to I'm afraid.
They were steel hubbed and coaster rear so were quite heavy. I boxed them to pretty much tight in the box, well wrapped and added brake pads too. The box I used was a thick USPS one.
Total postage cost, insured for £500, signed for delivery, 3 working days was just under £20 mate. That was with Prcelforce.
I don't think thats half bad to be honest.
I know it can be cheaper with hermes etc etc but, for the kind of shit threaders is going through, Parcelforce or Royal Mail for me all the time at the moment.
It helps too that I have a small independent PO near me, not the big ones that need more dosh to pay their staff so I get the best deals on postage :daumenhoch:
