Day 3 on the project and got a fair bit done  :)

Drilled the bolt holes in the top cap ready for tapping




Drilled and countersunk the body for the bolt heads




Next Big Birtha made an appearance for the stem shaft




Stem shaft offered up (not knocked it yet)




Big day tomorrow, got to pair the two pieces together and drill the hole for the bars  :)

Had to work a little late to wait for a delivery so cracked on with the pilot hole for the bars  :)

Note the piece of mountboard between the two pieces. Hopefully this will give me just enough space to nip the pieces up around the bars leaving an almost seamless gap
