Haro Mirra 540 Air - restoration
ED209:
I'm loving this build ... takes me right back to doing bikes just like this 5 years ago :-)
I should be able to help out on some parts :daumenhoch:
fischflo:
According to http://www.bikepedia.com/QuickBike/BikeSpecs.aspx?year=2000&brand=Haro&model=Mirra+540 ...it would need a "1 1/8" threadless Aheadset SB-1". So if the thing on the pic is all that needs to replaced, it seems what you Need is something like a "Aheadset Bearing Cone/Race for 1-1/8" Headsets". (Like this http://www.ebay.com/itm/Aheadset-Bearing-Cone-Race-for-1-1-8-Headsets-/301550848643)
Hope i'm right..... :buck2: ....... Ed'll know anyhow :daumenhoch:
Dogfish:
Hi guys its only the bit in the picture that I need the "cups" in the frame are good ...
I will replace the races as well as they are out ...
I can "knock" the old one off before I start painting the forks ...
Got the top coat on the frame today will get a pic across later ...
All I need now is the decals to finish the frame ....
Dogfish:
I went for a black pearlescent paint in the end you cant quite see it in the pictures but looks good ...
Decals and clear coat and its done ...

the head bearing has a golf ball effect can you get replacements without replacing the frame part ?? be a shame to have to start knocking the frame about ... if anyone has this part please let me know
