Haro Mirra 540 Air - restoration
Dogfish:
I found a second hand axle went up the local bike shop they had a complete 14mm axle with cones, lock nuts and washers with new ball bearings £10 :slayer:
Dogfish:
After a full on eve/night in the garage this is the results ... very please with the bike it has come out really nice and for me looks about right with the polished metal ...
Need to fit the front calliper when I get it this week and sort a seat out ...
The total cost including the purchase of the bike £159.00 my budget of £50.00 was about right when you use the "rule of restoration" which is estimate the build cost and triple it ... It is a heavy old beast but with new bearings it is a nice bike to ride it carries the weight well ...
I have enjoyed the whole process and thanks for the help along the way ...
Be good to know what you guys think ??
