Bullseye Cranks

(1/3) > >>

factory pilot:
Bullseye cranks are a lovely piece of kit and have become super popular and trendy on high end show bikes.
All I can remember is the tiny black and white adverts in BMX Plus.

Andy has a couple of these on his bikes which look lush to be fair.
I was even thinking about getting a pair for my next build ( I don't think they'd have looked right to be fair so I changed my mind in the end )

How much were they back bitd?

Were they cheaper or more than 400s or 401s ?

Did anyone on here use them in the UK or know someone who did ?

Were they more used for Race or Freestyle ?

Last question......
I've got almost 200 magazines/books ( UK and US ) and I don't have any or recall ever seeing any pictures of someone riding with a set of these?

Has anyone got any pics of people bitd with these on their bikes..., I'd love to see them!
Thanks in advance, Ant

MartyC:
I don't recall seeing them on bikes or ever seeing them come through the trade bitd. I am very suspicious of the recent boom in these appearing on the old school scene after all if it looks to good to be true it probably is.

rooski:
Never saw any bitd, seen some on mtbs.

Most Bullseye stuff is newish, last 10 years, very little true old stock.

Loads of nos cranks, pedals, hubs, spiders etc have appeared in the last few years, most have been made in the last few years.

Be VERY wary of "NOS" Bullseye stuff.

Quadog:
Never seen any on bikes BITD just those little B&W ads in magazines I have set on my Quad would be interesting to know if they are authentic or not there must be some officinardos out there

Taipan:
Mostly seen on mtb and from not that long ago? never ever seen any on anything bitd, the rich and famous always sported the redline brand but do remember seeing the CW 3 piece dog bone cranks now and then  :)
