Just another GT build thread.............
That Swan Guy:
So, I haven't built a bike for almost 2 years now. Those who have paid attention will know that I have sourced frame sets for other people or bought a set up which somebody has liked and since my heart hasn't been in the building side for a while, I've let them have it.
But........
When I was sourcing a Performer frame set for a friend I came across this. At its heart was an 85/6 Performer/WT of some sort. The rattle can paint hid a whole world of history. I made an offer and snagged it for a modest sum. Yes you see the wheels and seat for what they are but the rest was a lottery.

Wicked base Nick....can't wait to see what you do with it :daumenhoch:
That Swan Guy:
So I stripped the bike.
It's a Japan made 1986 GT Pro Performer/World Tour/Freestyle Tour frame set as it was 4130 stamped.
As I tidied the forks up I noticed they were double cable guide WIN!
And that although the forks had been painted by Stevie Wonder....
....with a stick! They had the original paint on the steerer tube......Bubble Gum Pink (Probably RAL 4003)
