Made a start on the DX’s which required a light refurb.

I usually remove the caps to fix the scuffs around that area , but they wouldn’t budge without the possibility of damaging them.
So I covered them with masking tape.

Clamped down starting with a bit of light work with a file to remove deep scuff marks.





Halfway there , then started using the electric hand sander with 250 grade.



Then wet and dry from 400 too 800 to the hard to reach areas.
Finally to finish off , a light buffing work on the machine, then mother’s.
Job done..

Just finished refurbishing this.

Coming along nicely Ady! A little tip when doing stuff like those chainwheels...use fineline masking tape first to get the line, it's far easier to use. you may be able to get it in Halfords but a car body repair supplier is best bet. you will see what i mean if you don't already know what it is... :daumenhoch:
