Profile Cranks Installation - Tool required?

(1/2) > >>

Mikku:
Quick question:- do I need one or is there another way to install my lovely "new" cranks without breaking anything??

Andyboy77:
You already may have considered this yourself, but I just googled "profile cranks insallation" in hope to find pictures of old 80's installation guides. I found some videos om how to insatll them instead.
In the videos mainly profile racing elite cranks have been used, so I don't know how much they or their installtion differs from the ones you have.

Edit: Sorry, I should have considered that those in the picture aren't for an os-bike.  ::)

Mikku:
Thanks Andy! I’ve seen those videos and it was actually those that made me think that I needed the Profile tool! I think that I can make do without one by sliding the arms on the spindle and rubber-malleting them into place but just wanted to double-check before I damage anything! :daumenhoch:

Bigfrawg:
Grease the splines and smash the coonts on with a mallet .

Mikku:
Thanks man! This is on my list of jobs to do tomorrow! :daumenhoch:
