how long do i leave tuffs in dye??
lazychubs:
doesnt she ask wok you doin lol
oberonspacefruit:
i think the dye has a life of a certain time, you cant keep re heating it ....are you sure its a hot water dye?
you do have to use a lot of dye to the water ratio.
its still ok to re dye it at a later stage.
do it on a b+q tub, with a lid on, and 5 -8pans of boiling water, thats how i did it.
selfpreservation:
i usually have to borrow pots and kettles and stuff if your only using a wok full you cant be gettin the water hot enough i put 2 litre bottles of warm water in between the spokes to reduce the amount of hot water needed
jT Racing:
just repeat untill happy. it will work eventually. salt salt salt.
Rombloke:
right, ive done a few tuffs from one colour to another, did quads white ones to black....
the key it heat.....and it must be multi purpose dye.....i also use a kilo of salt per tub of dye....
3 dyes per wheel without a shadow of a doubt.
and when going from white to black, you need to do them once, leave them in an hour or so....take them out, rinse them thoroughlly, then do em again, i alsways do tuffs one wheels at a time too, unless its just a brighten up.
stick with it fella they will go
