Removing headset
highrisedrifter:
Can anyone tell me the easiest way of removing a headset from a F&F please?
My Streetbeat has a black one in it and this goes against the colour scheme of the build.
Thanks

I use a drift save marking the cups, basically a square shaft screwdriver thats been snapped and smoothed will do the jobs line her up square and thwack with hammer hey presto no marks :daumenhoch:

Thanks chaps. I'm not bothered about marking the headeset as i'm going to jam it down the throat of the idiot who decided, against my wishes and knowledge, that a black headset would look better than the chrome one I asked for. Numpty.
I want to keep the frame unmarked however.
Many thanks

There is only one method....as instructed above.....hit each cup from within the head tube and slowly work your way round so you try and get it to come out straight. Can't gaurentee it won't pull any paint off with it though, depends on the quality of finish and how tight the cups are set in there??
Best of luck though mate :daumenhoch:
Oh and take your time and don't go at it like a 15 year old virgin ;)
