Manualling

<< < (3/4) > >>

Sean 2000:
Firstly Lucy, relax on the bike.....no grip of death on the bars!

The trouble with manuals is that because you are standing up you also have side to side movement to contend with.  On a std sitting down wheelie, this is controlled by ya butt on the saddle.

I found it easier to lean back further than what you initially think is required keeping the front wheel nice and low, knees nicely bent and as already suggested cover the brake, because leaning back this far you will enevitably have a couple of scary moments when you need to slam on the anchor to stay upright!

Others may disagree with my method, but its working for me. My manuals are far from dialled, but the are improving all the time.

Good luck Lucy

Sean. :daumenhoch:

Oh, and Nice 1 Rob ;D ;D ;D

the last manuel i did i flipped it and got hung up on my back peg ,and then twisted my foot right around  plates and many pins later , i still struggle to do them  :-\ its a defo art form

LucyLastic:
Thanks Sean, will try again.  I think my main problems are gripping the bars too hard and pulling the wheel up too high  :)
