The brakes make a load of diff, A fly brake has a minimal stacking height, if you compare it to an oddy evolver the difference is massive the same goes for the primo E brake but I know what your saying about the difference in chainstays, I think you can o as low as 25-9 on a panterra if you use a fly, unfortunately for billy his T1 wont accomodate the hub he wishes to use.

B*ll*cks, I purchased a fly rear brake and tree 28 chainwheel last night from ace cycles and now you tell me it won`t work, just better thank my lucky stars that it was about half price what it would have cost me over here  :(
