Tange 125 lp headset dont fit my skyway(yes it does see pics)

I bought this headset at great cost but when i just tried to fit the top stationary cup it seems too big it will only go in lop sided. I have not tried the bottom as i dont want to damage the finish. Im not sure if these are hard to fit maybe i need to try harder. The sizes on the box says cup o.d 32.7 & crown cone i.d.26.4 can anyone shed any light please.

Is the frame powdered? If so, then dremel the inside of the tube. Also put the cups in the freezer for an hour, then try inserting them, works every time for me :daumenhoch:

The frame is original chrome but i dont want to bash the cups in if there the wrong size can anyone confirm that this SHOULD fit then i can get to work freezing them & bashing them in  :-\

Have you measured it against a normal cup? If these is a significant difference then dont try, but I know that the cups and frame tubes are not constant and hammer fit does seem to be used a lot of the time. use a tiny bit of grease in the frame when you fit it :daumenhoch:

I did compere them to the ones i took out & there was maybe a minimal size difference hard to tell because of the shamfer on the tange cup but it certantly wasnt a significant difference
