headset help again

i bought a 1" threaded headset for my old school build, when ive fit it on theres a small gap where the locknut cant reach the tightener, will putting a gyro on solve this gap problem?????

not if you want your stem not to snap.....which is why in my opinion, you shouldnt fit rotors to 1'' forks.....stems get snaptasticly high when they are installed
