Kashimax Aero Re-Issue?

<< < (5/9) > >>

I just dont like it

you may as well reweld up a copy gen 1 or a ripper and proudly ride around on it pretending that its an original , i just dont see the point of getting exited over re issue stuff when to be honest the real deal is still out there and still affordable ( ok so a new seat reissue is say 30 quid? well a new old stock can be had for 70 ) so save up a bit more

Bloody instant gratification is what it is

rubbish

I would rather have an 'Aero' seat than a re-issue Kashimax Aero. At least it is from BITD. Besides how could we spend hundreds on a build and then skimp on a fake seat for the sake of £30 extra. :uglystupid2

Longun:
I can totally see the point. If I'm going to be racing the bike I'd much prefer to stick on a £30 saddle that basically looks right, than get pi55ed off every time I stack and scratch up a £100 original seat. Keep the stupidly overpriced original seat for when you're 'showing' the bike.

I guess that's only an issue if you use the bikes for what they were intended.

Swivel:
I guess its down to personal preference and also what readies are available to that person... me personally I'd have one as I don't have any on my builds and the originals are becoming too expensive to buy at the moment.

dont agree.

if someone getting into it again is of limited funds then they can have something that is near on identical to what they used to have for 25-30 quid ???

same with redline twinpinch cranks....i have used them on several bikes and they look mint...

i appreciate your point, but i for one think its a good move and widens the appeal of old school bmx...shouldnt effect prices of the real stuff too much, just means more people can have access without seeing heavy prices and then turn there noses up..some of the stuff out there is scary money at the minute...

you simply cant build a middle of the range old school bike for reasonable money anymore.
