Same here , did'nt use Kashi Aero either :LolLolLolLol:
Can see your point about using a cheaper seat on a race bike btw ;)
dialledbikes:
Are the only people that re-pop/re-issued stuff annoys or offends those who see BMX as a hobby rather than a sport/lifestyle?
Waxintaxin:
LOL
Mike i collect old bikes
and ride new ones
so where does that leave me in your eqaution
It annoys and offends me , for a very simple reason what is the point of collecting OLD BMX when it isnt old bmx , its a reissue
fine ride and smash up the new stuff ,and if you want to have a brand new seat ,thats cool but ffs why make it look like an old one
just sad and wrong
munners:
Bmx is a hobby to me. I dont ride and wasnt particularly good as a kid either. But i still love them and collecting is what i do. If i did a bike as a rider i dont think i would spend £30 on a seat!
mark 2:
I was talking to Bananaman the other week about this - maybe it's for another thread but kinda relevant now - you'll always get mixed and strong opinions about re-popping components but never about decals, it's always considered a good thing if someone is making them and that part of collecting is made easy. Wonder why? I'd gladly stick re-popped decals on a os bike but very probably wouldn't a component. As an example original Hutch decals can go from what we've seen lately £40 -£284 but it'd be crackers to use them. So why are re-popped decals never an issue? Is it just because they can no longer be re-sold and rendered worthless?
