Help Needed. Converting US Videos (NTSC)

It's sounding as though your capture card is not NTSC compatible, have a look here http://forum.videohelp.com/ for more help about converting but that model card seems to be getting a pasting for not doing as it says on the tin  :-\.

This might sound silly, but it's the way I have wired up my VCR/TV/DVD Recorder and it seems to solve the problem.  Luckily my telly is a nice new Sony so it has lots of inputs - 2 Scarts, RGB etc.  What I've done is connect both the VCR and DVD Recorder directly to the telly, rather than have a feed coming from the VCR into the DVD Recorder.  Then I set my DVD Recorder to record whatever is showing on the TV screen, press play on the VCR and bob's yer uncle.  Obviously this solution is useless if your TV doesn't have enough inputs  :-\  If you're stuck you could always send one up to me to test, but it should work no probs.
