help removing seized bolts

All of the above.  I think Lazychubs is on about a flank drive socket. You want to be using a six sided socket rather than a twelve anyway as they will handle/transmit more force.

Try an impact driver too. They're very effective if used properly. You deffo want a six sided socket for that though   ;)

Last resort is to snap the head off completely (that allows you to dismantle everything) then drill the remains of the bolt out of the axle as a little job in a vice.
