If you throw out the other one, you will no longer have a pair, then you will no longer feel the need to keep this one, thus you wont bother trying to free it off, urgo, you can bin the stuck one.

It's a good philosophy and could be beneficial considering the complete absence of a vice and other tools to carry out the removal of said stuck pedal , I shall bear it in mind whilst I ponder this predicament
