SteveG:
Cheers for the replies. I had a search through all the old posts and there have been a lot of questions on the subject.

One thing I was wondering. Has ayone fitted some NOS tuff pads on a rider and found they weren't as good as they thought they ought to be.  I know I am a bit heavier than I was so the repro ones I have might not really be that bad.
I have seen grey Tuff pads for sale in the original style, might be worth getting some of them to put on the bike if I want to ride it. I will see what I can find.

tuff pads are disapointing when first fitted, but they bed in in with use, also if you clean your rims with alcohol wipes to take any grease off em youl feel a difference straight away, some freestyle tuff pads have a little "s" on them, they are softer compound (i think) and they work much better than other tuff pads, if ya gonna ride em, baby blue or red tuff pads seem to work the best out of all in my experience, the dia-compe blocks work well too

I have just been looking at the Skyway website and there is a picture of some Black feestyle pads on there. I don't know if it's possible to get them so I have sent them an email.
I have explained that I want to ride my 1984 ish Ripper and need some new tuff pads. They must have some NOS ones kicking about they could send me  ;)

Thinking about it I wonder how many sets could be sold if they did make some new ones. Kool Stop have tuff pad style pads on their site but I don't know if the compound is suitable. They are only grey and red I think.
