Tips please - getting a bearing retainer on a new set of forks ?

i use an adjustable spanner set it to the size of rhe forkcrownracethingy then get the hammer on it  :knuppel2:

infact thats nearly the entire content of my tool box  ;D

If its too tight, it will split, they are not as tough as you'd think.
Both methods suggested are the best option tho.
