hyper frame...removing paint with nitro
mr.magoo:
After seeing Pickles lovely chrome Hyper I want to remove the purple paint to reveal chrome :smitten:
or is there any reason, i haven't considered, not to do it?
loads of people have told me nitromors is the tool for the job, but how long for????
and is special prep required, other than full strip down of bike?
sure i've seen threads about it in the past, but just had a search through and kind find anything :'(
thecrooch:
Nitromors is the stuff but the equivalent homesbase B&Q stuff is just as good. just slap it on and leave it for a few mins - you will soon see it work. get a wire brush and away you go....
dont get any on your skin!!! shed paint that flys off when you are stripping it also burns!!!!
agree the chrome will look better than that purple - thats so 1991!!! :LolLolLolLol:
pickle:
Hmmmmmmm chrome Hyper! :smitten:
i have decided that i'm keeping mine......i have managed to pull back my xmas spending so no real need to part with her. i think they're a lovely bike but not very well thought of over here.
i am going to do mine up a little too for the coming summer season :daumenhoch:
mr.magoo:
would like to upgrade a few components, and make me enjoy looking at it as much as i enjoy riding it, but lack of pennies, makes nitro the cheapeast and easiest change
and does anywhere do day glo coloured cables and lever covers, looking at pics of my ta from 85-86, and would like to inject some cheap colour
pickle:
i'm sure you can get Oddy cables in day glo colours? as for lever covers......PM Firebird and have a word with him :daumenhoch:
