dont get any on your skin!!! shed paint that flys off when you are stripping it also burns!!!!
agree the chrome will look better than that purple - thats so 1991!!! :LolLolLolLol:

si wont the wire brush scratch the chrome, and don't tell me the obvious....gently...everyone knows i'm a bull in a china shop with no patience :LolLolLolLol:
HEYWOOD BMX:
Is it deffo chrome underneath? Seen a few cases where people get chromoly and chrome plate confused, then get miffed after stripping thei9r frame to reveal nice dull metal!
mr.magoo:
have it on good authority that in the 90's was a bit of a thing for painting over chrome to get like a pearlescent finish???
but to be safe will try under one of the rear drop-outs first in case.
I know in dull weather it just looks like a gay purple colour, in the summer sun its like a brilliant purple, thats really nice, but i don't like the colour when its in the garage, and can't colour co-ordinate anything, as purple parts are hard to source and when you do very expensive.
thanks for the tip off.

some one told me they are the same as the free agent limo - which makes them pretty dam good in my book :daumenhoch:
also if your having the paint off with nitromoors and its chrome underneath
i wouldn't use a wire brush to get the frazzled goo off
as that prob would mark the chrome
need something softer or less likely to damage the chrome surface
have you thought about just stripping the rear triangles paint off ?
see how that looks ?
