How to remove anodising.......

Ok Guys I think we'll go the caustic route as it will be easier to source here in Mallorca, we don't have TESCO here.

I'll do my mates one first as a test then maybe do my own one  :2funny:

i did 50 seatclamps, 20 stems, 10 odd rims, 10 odd chainrings and a couple of other bits and bobs in 10 minutes or less with a large bucket and a large caustic, a pair of chemical gloves(4 quid) and a large bucket of cold water with a whole thing of vinegar poured in it at the side to put the parts in when done, stops the caustice in it's tracks. All done outside, add caustic to water not the other way round. It's nasty stuff, but if you treat it with respect you will be ok.

just out of interest, how do you dispose od the costic soda?  is it harmful to the environment?  ???

pour it down the drain.. its sold as a drain unblocker
