can you get cranks rethreaded ?
pickle:
i once got a Shimano XT drive side arm re threaded by a mate of mine.....worked a treat for XC riding but i wouldn't want to do any jumps or owt with it.
as Crooch said........have a look round and grab a new set?
jT Racing:
if it's an ali crank, pick a pedal you like and trust and araldite(or other epoxy resin) the fecker in :LolLolLolLol:
diesel:
I had one done at Halfords for £10
I wouldn't recommend it for riding after though - Just show
SteveG:
I was going to suggest a helicoil which is basically a spring looking thing that screws into a slightly larger tapped hole. I don't know if pedals are a special thread though.
Try a small engineering company they might be able to help.
If the helicoil doesn't work then they might be able to tap a larger thread in the arm and make a threaded bush up to bring the thread back to size.
It might be possible to get it welded and re-tapped if its something rare, but anything will end up costing a bit.

personally i agree this could work, but of all the stress areas on a bike you want confidence in is the pedals and having them re-threaded wouldnt give me that!
Ian there are plenty of cheap relacements knocking around..... Think quad paul has a set out of his Haro 24.
