gearing question
Glen:
At the moment im running 9/27 if I drop to 26 how much rear wheel movement will I aquire? My rear tyre is rubbing on my brake so i need to move it back. Will that help or should I go 25/9?
fugazi:
Well 25/9 is nearer to the 44/16 "standard" & would allow the wheel to go back a bit, although have you looked at taking any extra spacers that may be in the brake blocks out on the inner brake arm side? This would mean adjusting the cable more thereby moving the brake arms away from the tyre. What tyre & brakes are you running?
QUADROPHENIA:
is that horse poo on the brake ?
lazychubs:
glen i reckon if ya had smaller inner washers on the brake blocks ya might get a smidge more clearance mate
even if ya have to file the buggers down
lazychubs:
was just thinking if ya have less washers ya could adjust the brake to move the arms away from the tyre to get clearance
