brass monkey!:
Hi Y'all  :D

just got 2 pairs of rims back from the anodisers, and I wanted to give them a bit more of a shiney finish - would you recommend laquer coating them before building them?

what you thinking?

Matt

diesel:
Leave them as is

Dan, one pair is your old 24"'s now in Blue, they came out nice except for some slight dark bits where they were pitted.

about the anodising, they have a very slight 'tacky' feel to them, like the are not 100% dry? if that makes sense....

diesel:
hmmm - can't help you with the tacky

maybe someone else can chip in?

oberonspacefruit:
laquer will chip, and lifts if there is any moisture around. If you absoloutely have to do it, id go for a semi gloss.

Anodising is basically electroplating, I cant see how they wouldnt be dry, but if you were unhappy with the result, why not have a word with the guy who did them?
