A Beautiful piece of chrome plating
Moose:
When I had a hutch stem re-chromed recently, I was there for the whole process. The first time the chrome flaked off due to how 'pure' the alloy was (his words not mine), so he had to heat-treat it prior to rechroming.
If it fails the first time around and flakes off they have to re-polish, this is where it lost a tiny detail of the stamp.
frdavid:
you're right i think they didn't polish enough that's why the chrome was bad, but now it's very hard to remove about 20 hours that i'm trying lol 75% of the job is done, handly with sand paper grade 180 to 1200 and after polish solution
