i remember the first bmx race i went to. indoors, bingley hall xmas 1983. everyone wanted to race. saw a few people eat the start hill there!

i was too small to race. only 10

I went over the gate like that at Wimborne in 1984, the gate mechanism jammed just between 'Pedals Ready' and 'Go'.  Everyone went except the gate.  Bloody hurt as well.

Remember seeing a guy smack up his brand new black chrome 83 GT on the gate at wordsley. First time it had been out of the box. OUCH!!
