Pro Class Rim Tape Alternatives? Is there any?
moley:
I'm after something with the same consistancy as a proper Pro Class Rim tape.
Something that looks the part and does the job.
Metallic tapes are quite thin and bulge out like the woman with the big bulgey eyes!! :(
I'd want a few different colors!!
Any ideas?
Cheers :daumenhoch:

hmmm.
i went to the habidashiry section in john lewis and bought a thin roll of fabric...
got a nice metallic look to it and is quite thick.
on the DY ( any excuse)
Bob_Acid:
Couldn't you use anything then cover that with a regular rim tape?
Jt:
thats what i did.
moley:
I'm using some metallic tape with the cardboard backing still on...........plus some electrical insulation tape and a proper rubber rim strip.
The trouble is its still bulges out too much with 50-60 psi behind it and looked a little to flimsy.
I was wondering if anyone has found a better alternative.
