Post by: Pooch on May 03, 2011, 04:22 PM
(http://i1038.photobucket.com/albums/a469/Poochy_06/IMG_0426-1-1.jpg) F&f with SBD this week and to be a sweet candy red with chrome on clear decals.
(http://i1038.photobucket.com/albums/a469/Poochy_06/IMG_0438.jpg)And some trimmings to go on it. It's no show pony, and it will be a rider. :)

Agreed Neil :daumenhoch:

When bikes were built to race, parts fitted would be the be the ones offering the best performance for the money :)
obviously this is a bit different as it may not be ridden in anger, but its probably more like bikes bitd used to be :daumenhoch:

Serial = on leftside inner drop-out!
No baseball......
One off the first painted frames.......
2-tone.

Looks like a DIY Haro RS1 paint job on a Hutch ^^^ , don't remember Hutch painting their own frames like that from the factory ...... got any more info/history on it ??

Might be from the hutch windstyler and jet period. They churned out some utter shite at the end.

It's deffo a taiwan made hutch though, the break bridge is on top of the stays not in-between. I thought the Taiwan made hutch pro racers had those ugly blue and red decals with a different font, or was that later still. But 84 seems to early for Taiwan stuff, I thought they were Made in Japan then?

Japanese Hutches have/looks like baseball-logo,at end off serial!
Taiwan made have serial on bottom bb.......
The 2-tone Hutch i have, got none off them both.....

Taiwan hutch pro racers had a serial number on the dropout too, your thinking of a pro raider.

JAPANESE MADE: Japanese frames look pretty much the same as the last USA version, but the serial numbers vary in length and include a symbol that looks like a baseball.
TAIWANESE MADE: Taiwan frames have the serial on the BB.

I liked it before too :LolLolLolLol: Kept it for 5 years. I build slowly though.
Looks nice fella, cant go wrong with a hutch and the other bits suit it. As long as you're happy and enjoy it then you're on a winner.

I remember seeing a thread about NOS frames that were two tone and had been in the distributors warehouse in France that was hit by a fire, I think they were purple.

Twesnik would you not post up your bike on your own thread and a mod could maybe tidy this thread up.

BTW Nice bike Pooch
