I think it would be a great addition, and make peoples choices of parts easier. :daumenhoch:
If in doubt flat out.

I think this is a great idea.

Like said have a section for Stems for example, then brand sub sections like Win, Suntour etc. Just like the Museum.

No Chat, just for posting pictures and info.  :daumenhoch:

When I finally get a chance to get around to finishing this, I mean something like this guys.

Everything is correct so far apart from the Freestyle tyre section and a few date queries which I will get back to work on soon  :daumenhoch:

Mitsuboshi Competition II Yellow label 1978-1983

Tioga Orange/Blue/Green label Comp II label believed to have started around 1983 - 198?

Another Tioga label variation. Appears to be Factory of Production specification, not Tioga specification 1983 - 198?

Mitsuboshi Yellow label Competition III 1981-1983

Tioga Comp III Black/Green/Yellow label 1983-1986

Another Tioga label variation. Appears to be Factory of Production specification, not Tioga specification 1983 - 1986

Tioga Comp III Blue/Green/Grey label 1985 - 1986

Tioga Comp III Blue/Green/Grey label 1987-1992 (Better detailing replaced the latter)

Tioga Comp III 'Rainbow' label 1989 - sometime in the mid 90's to be updated as it appears they started later than 1989

Mitsuboshi Competition IV only produced from Mid 1983 until December 1983. Also used on the Hutch Pro Star release, in tandem with the Hutch tyre logo

Tioga Comp IV 1983 - 1986

Tioga Comp V  Red/Blue/Green label 1984 - 1986 These are sew ups for Araya skinny rims

Tioga Comp V Blue/Green/Grey label 1985 - 1988

The first Comp ST tyre known only as Stadium tyres 1980 -

Comp ST Blue/Green/White label - (I don't know the dates on these)

Comp ST 'new font' label - (I don't know the dates on these)

Comp Ramps - Blue/Green/White label - (I don't know the dates on these)

I know this is a bit of an ask but is there some way we can sort the reference sections out? Totally gave up on the museum now they have trashed what used to be a very informative area.
Ours isn't much better though :(

little or no info to accompany the pics, quite a few of which are missing as the poster has deleted them from their hosting account :(

is there someone who could perhaps be a reference mod, adding extra Info and possibly host all the pics on a dedicated account if the site itself can't host them.

would be ace if every post was as informative as Terrys tyre post  :daumenhoch:

Would happily have a go at it Nick with a bit of help/guidance from other more sage types.
both the museum and here are essentially no better than a Google search. Must be a backache for those looking to do era correct stuff, especially if you want something a little different  :(

I think it's a great idea but it would need to be moderated for authenticity, it's already being done in vintage section which I use.

I'm sure you'd do a good job Clint and I'm sure there's enough collective knowledge on Rad to rectify any mistakes that may occur.

Quick re-rant. Stumbled on this thread and thought it would make an interesting read. As per usual crucial pics missing forever

http://www.radbmx.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,87765.0.html

bout time we got the image hosting and in turn reference section nailed down

Unfortunately the images have been deleted from the photobucket account of the individual who posted it originally and not RADs fault.

Yep. I know it's not an easy task but we should find a way to resolve this. Sections like the reference section are one of the key plus points for a forum over the likes of Facebook, Twitter etc.

Agree completely but I'm a complete technophobe so I have no idea how to do it!

Is there a way admin could have access to a communal photobucket account or similar and rehost the images where they sit so the images are affiliated with the original poster? ( this is hugely important for follow up questions etc and one of the major fook ups on the Museum )

I understand changing the image hosting to a new method may mean a relaunch of the site?
A communal photobucket site would sidestep this issue, although involve quite a bit of work for the admin
