Agree with Factory Pilot on the coloured DX

24" tires for the cruiser would be nice.

Am I missing something ???

Isn't finding/sourcing parts a major part of this hobby?

If you can just go out and buy everything new (repop/repro), what's the point, it's false nostalgia.

To me, it's like going into the supermarket for a bunch of grapes....
Yes you come out with grapes but they're not the big sweet juicy golden Italia grapes we had as kids. They taste of fook all and they've got no pips!!! (In short, they're fake and pointless)

Steve, i'm with you all the way.  I was asked by someone in the business about a very limited run of an old/retro part so i thought i'd ask the masses

Steve, I know what you're saying, but without repop parts, I wouldn't be able to finish my builds.

I don't get paid a massive wage so I have to go with whatever my budget will allow. I simply can't justify spending £150 on a Kashi Aero, when I can get essentially the same seat from Alan's for a 3rd of that price.

The purists may not like my bikes, or how I build them, that's fine with me. For me, one of the most fundamental factors with this hobby is how I build my bike, and how it makes ME feel when I take them out, ride them and meet up with my pals.  :daumenhoch:p

Sorry Dan, i'm not buying any of that.
I didn't mention money and i'm not picking on any person that does buy it.

Nothings stopping you finishing a build. It's your choice to buy repop as you obviously like things 'shiny and bright', as you could have bought the original for the same money if you accept it may come in a 30 year old 'pre-loved' condition with a few scrapes (and as you've admitted you ride your bikes, i don't see that as a problem)

Nobody understands better than me the pitfalls of old school BMX when your living the Champagne lifestyle on Lemonade money. I earn fook all (and i'm talking a two figure daily rate) and unfortunately i have a love for VDC's that started when i was 13 but that doesn't stop me.

I'm just not into diluting my memorys and passion with modern day money grabbing products.

Sorry if i come across arrogant it's not meant that way  :Great_Britain: :smitten:

I cant think of anything that wouldnt get hit by a copyright/logo infringement problem.

Just reading Animals thread in tech, those Retrofit hubs look ace on his white tuffs.
I have a set of badgered white tuffs in the garage, one concave rear and a pitted to fook front hub from a bad bleach job.
I would wager there are quite a few sets like that knocking about that could be brought back to life with the help of Retrofit hubs.
So bring back 'Retrofit' hubs. :coolsmiley:

I wouldn't bring back a particular part but it would be nice to bring back the prices.  If they stayed low it would filter out the profiteers and flippers and leave the hobby for the rest of us...
