Streetbeat Info
« on: October 11, 2018, 10:48 PM »
I have a '88 NOS frame in Teal/Chrome that I'm considering building up.  I also have an '85 NOS 'Beat and  realise from previous research that the earlier 'beats were sold as F/F only so there was no specific spec.

So mainly my question is is in '88 was it possible to buy a complete rider? If so what was the spec list.

Just pondering my options, even if there were completes available it doesn't mean I would follow that path but just want to make a considered decision, of course I may just leave it in its plastic warpper and put it back in the box :-\ :LolLolLolLol:

They were available as completes. The mk1's were just f and f, the two tones were offered as completes and so were the next gen. i am not sure of the exact spec but i do know they came with a turbo disc! stevesredvxr is your man, he will know the spec of the 88 completes  :daumenhoch:

Another tip while youre waiting, is visit the Skyway section in the museum on here, chances are that someone has posted pics of a NOS complete Beat.

Definitely Tech 7s but they are mega rare and mega expensive 😄

Id probably use a chrome and black set of Tech 5s as a substitute

Hi Pickle,

Just taken this, if you'd like anymore pics of it let me know.  It's pretty much where it was but  possibly in the process of turning it into a 'real' project.
