Goodwood, was that the place with the freestyle area in the middle?
Vague recolections!!

I think i did a good no handed drop it there LOL

We went to so many demos its hard to visualise them all, photos would greatly enhance my time jaded memory.
AP

There was you and Craig Campbell ,Fraser Camps,Mike Canning and Carlo... Will post pics when I get back to the UK. If I can remeber it was the day of a big Horse Race there

When i was 13, i wanted to be just like AP.  Big thanks to him and the guys for inspiring the emotions of the masses. This site is testament to how deep feelings run for BMX and just reading what the legends have to say all these years later is bringing big smiles ;D
Here's a pic i got from bitd, i bought this f/f shortly after and tried to build the same bike! Over 20 years later, i'm building it again. Thanks AP, keep riding.

Not feeling well today, hence missing Chest-Air. Been watching series 1 of bmx beat on dvd. Great footage of Mike and Andy. I used to love watching them on Saturday mornings for their trick tips. Great to see them on RAD too!

MP AP were my heroes bitd. BMX BiWeekly,,,,, happy days and the Quad was mesmerizing. The Raleigh was from another world. Riding cheap bikes, seeing stuff like that was aspiring. I remember an article on how to make your standard levers trick by bending them and fitting sharp lever grips. I had some red Weinmanns and  made a pair. I felt rad as fook. Thankyou guys.

Thought I'd give this thread a BUMP ....  Both Andy and Mike were massive influences on me BITD ... Probably as much as Bob Haro and Craig Campbell ... They got lots of exposure on TV in the magazines and in the BMX annuals I got for Christmases ...
Andy Preston's Rippers and Quads were always ace with extra cool bits like lever grips and brakeguards...
I got my love of Aero Pros from Mike .. That's the main reason I got one last year.

Does anyone have any other pics or images they could add to this thread ?

Did Kappy ever complete an AP tribute build then ? I can't find any evidence ...
