85 Dyno Compe D-30
« on: January 30, 2015, 01:09 PM »
First bike I've put together for 30odd years.

September '85 Dyno Compe D-30 in original survivor chrome.

Taken me about 8 months on and off to put this together, most of the parts from people here or cheap re-pops. Idea was for something like I wuld have ridden as a kid, cobbled together parts from all over....

Only thing that needs to change is the seat, it's a small mid-school Dyno branded Viscount, thought from the eBay pics it was a full size one. Would like to replace the brakes with some new black Bulldogs from Alans.

It rides alright too now the headset is the right way up.

Cheers for nice comments. I know Dynos are a bit like the runt of the litter but I love the bent forks and like the fact this is a really early one and that you hardly ever see them in chrome.

If anyone wants/needs that mid school seat and has a cheap old school to swap/part ex do let me know.

I'd like to do one for the missus next. I'd love it to be a loopy ripper. then maybe a junior for my eldest daughter.

Looks great that  :daumenhoch:  I'd take the kool kaps off the front tuff and go for the 50/50 look that an 85 would've had  :daumenhoch:
