I've had this Bmx in my shed for 20 odd years time to do something with it. Here are some pics.

Looks like you've got all the bits there mate. Clean it up put it back together and get yourself out on a ride with some fellow Radsters.  :daumenhoch:

First step check this link.  ;)

Thanks that looks interesting. Would need new stickers i guess. Rust isn't to bad on frame but chrome is really dull.

Shouldn't need new stickers mate. Oxalic or citric acid doesn't affect em.  :daumenhoch:

It's very special.
Don't just part with it without doing your research, you may regret it.
Lovely to see these still coming out of the man caves.

What he just said ... It's a rare thing and a special thing... If it's yours treat it with love ...
Clean it up and put it back together .. Then ride it dude ... Or go mad and do a proper full on resto and make her a carpet queen!
It's a holy grail of a bike you have there for many of us ... Do it justice ... Do it right and don't sell it unless it's to me!  :LolLolLolLol:

Cheers mate. I've always treat it with love thats why i've kept it. I bought it in early 80's when they first came out, i was BMX mad.
I'm 43 now maybe look a bit odd on it now, still love it though.
Thinking of re-chrome but do like old patina.

Lovely  8)

No way would I rechrome that or remove the decals. It looks gorgeous as it is!

Like Nick said, a CA bath shouldn't affect the decals. There is a great thread on here in the Tech section on how to do it. I followed it on my Redline and it came out a treat with all decals intact.

Probably agree there mate. Chrome is pretty scratched though, will CA bath it and take from there.

Does the CA get all the grim off? Or do you have to remove grim before you dip it?

Do no harm to give it a wash with soapy water before you start. Then follow the instructions in the link and you're laughing.  :daumenhoch:

If your 43 and worried about riding an old school bmx again, maybe get yourself to MK15 in august.
There may be a few of like minded people all doing the same.
 :daumenhoch:

p.s You'll regret selling it, only a very few of us still have the bikes we had bitd, I wish I had one of mine.
