old schooler skatepark jam, San Diego
« on: November 18, 2008, 03:53 PM »
It's that time of year again, I've rented Clairemont skatepark again for my birthday and invited a bunch of old school riders.  November 22nd 8:45 am to 11:15 am.  If you are in the San Diego area stop by and say hi or bring your bike and ride.  Bikes will be allowed in the pool again for the party and there are loads of new ramps and a bowl with a spine.  The pool went off last year and I'm sure I will be in it again this year, but since Saturday I have had the desire to tame my fear of the monster half-pipe.

After the skatepark there is a Banksgiving jam at Dennis Enarson's house put on by Nike.
After the Banksgiving jam there is a video premier of "Writing on the Wall" featuring the Nike 6.0 riders.

A full day of bmx fun for sure

Andy

Andy - happy birthday mate! I'm def. going this time..I'll try and bring Tony Mac, he can be a lazy basket, but may get lucky. Lee Reynolds shot me a mail about it too. See you down there....I'll bring my bike too.

Daz - it's okay to feel jealous, just a natural human reaction  :LolLolLolLol:

That skatepark is $4 a session for members???

Bargain!!

I see that non members can ride for a session for only $10.  That's amazing value for whats there, are they typical prices in the U.S.?

Yeah I think that's about typical.  The Etnies skatepark is free.

Damon-I'm looking forward to seeing you guys again.  It's an early session so I hope you are an early riser.  Don't forget your camera.

Daz-there should be loads of pictures and some video that I will post.

Gutted i can't make it, as  My parents are flying in from Scotland for Thanksgiving on Friday

I did however bring it up in in conversation with the wife last night.

" how do you fancy looking after our daughter yourself  for the weekend and hosting the inlaws while I go to San Diego and ride my BMX"

Needless to say., the answer wasn't too positive... :LolLolLolLol:

Have a great day Andy

Andy - my 2 year old will be my alarm clock - I'll leave at 7 am to get there for the session. Camera will be in my sky rocket.
