NOS Frame Sets Question

Yep, 100% spot on.  Unless it was bought New Old Stock from a bike shop with one fitted when purchased.

If I was going to display the F&F on a shelf I would fit the headset to stop any rattle damage.

Could always display them seperatley, side by side :-\

Then just screw the bearing retainer on up to the rubber cone.

Personally I keep all my NOS frames exactly as they came from the factory which means just the frame and card attached and with nothing else installed.
Find another way to display them rather than adding something just to stop them falling over.
