Bit of tyre advice needed.

If you are seriously going to use it in anger as someone said before, go for a new tyre, 100 psi.

Raleigh shoppers wouldn't be up to it IMHO and I definitely wouldn't use an old tyre.

Narrower rims & tyres would give you less rolling resistance but it does limit your bmx tyre choice quite a bit.

a 1 3/8th rim and these tioga 1 3/8th power blocks would be decent
