Looks brilliant Nick, how are you doing it?
That Swan Guy:
brute force and ignorance :LolLolLolLol:
I've scraped of as much rub as possible with a pair of open bandage scissors. They are fairly blunt so they won't dig into the rim and chop my pinkies off if they jam then lurch. To be fair, not much rub is coming off :-\
I'm then using a quality scourer lubed with Jiff (Ciff in new money) and a dab of warm water. The thing that's slowing me down is my finger tips throbbing like fcuk!
Still, it's not in any rush :LolLolLolLol:
The wheels are pretty good so a quick scrub around the spokes and a wet wipe on a wooden skewer is getting into all the tight bits.
dp and chopper dude:
Could you knock up some pan scourer brake blocks and get a brake caliper to do apply friction to clean the rub off and save your throbbing fingers?
Just waggle the wheel back & too to get the rub off. Or am I takling daft?
That Swan Guy:
to be honest there are probably a million different ways of doing it :LolLolLolLol:
I've not normally restored stuff to this extent so it's a bit of an adventure "help"
