Torker Fork/Headset problem
billstup:
Just make one Andy, like someone said ealier cut one out of a tin can :daumenhoch:
sawzall:
THE EASIEST WAY WOULD BE, FIND A PIECE OF TUBE WHICH WILL SLIDE SNUGLY OVER THREADED PART OF FORKS THEN CUT DESIRED AMOUNT WITH HACKSAW SLIDE ON FORK ,THIS SHOULD GIVE YOU SHOULDER TO FIT BEARING CUP :daumenhoch:
billstup:
It is a very thin piece of tube that would be required :crazy2:
showtime:
i remember the forks on my 280 were the same, i think they has a thin shim in there but the headset always knocked! i think that was the main reason i got rid of it ::)
MartyC:
The "shim" is usually brass and sometimes comes away when the bottom race is removed, as Bill said, try making a shim to fit using tin or brass or (you might not like doing this) use electrical tape and run the race over the top of it it. :daumenhoch:
